FAQ

EXERCISE

Q: I have limitations due to a past injury and am concerned about aggravating that. What type of exercise would I do?

A: Exercise form will vary by the individual. It might be a walking program or something that you loved as a child. It’s completely up to you. Nothing about this program is cookie-cutter or prescriptive. That’s one of the things that makes it so powerful. YOU are in charge with Coach Gayle as your guide and encourager. You will find ways that best fit your lifestyle

FOOD

Q: What types of food do clients when following a WhyPowered coaching program?

A: Food that they like! It’s not about forcing down salads or diet shakes. There aren’t expensive packaged meals to purchase either. With this program, it’s about you making healthier portion control decisions with food you enjoy that nourishes and satisfies you. The focus isn’t about deprivation or ‘should’s’ either. The focus generally is on whole foods while moving away from processed foods.

Q: I follow a gluten free diet. Will that work within this program?

A: Yes! This is not a prescriptive diet, so it’s super flexible to accommodate ANY individual dietary preference.

PROGRAM DEMANDS

Q: My schedule is demanding; how much time is required for this program?

A: Coaching programs are virtual, so it’s very efficient and easy to fit into your schedule. With the planning tools and templates and knowing your Why, plus the guidance and encouragement of Coach Gayle, you’ll learn to shift and prioritize your wellness practices daily without it feeling selfish.

Q: I’ve lost and regained weight so many times. How can I believe this time will be different?

A: Coaching and connecting to your Why for making changes makes it sustainable and not at all like being on a diet. (Traditional diets in contrast have a 95% failure rate.) By having an accountability partner and taking a ‘no extremes’ approach, the long-term outlook is positive. We view it as a marathon, not a sprint. Coach Gayle helps you build patience and consistency for the long haul. Click here for a side-by-side comparison of dieting vs. coaching.

Q: I’m a private person and feel odd sharing my medical history and personal struggles. How do I know it won’t be shared?

A: All of the information you share with me as your coach, both in writing and in conversation, is protected by HIPAA, so there’s no worries there.

Q: There are lots of coaches out there; How do I know which one is best for me?

A: Knowing if a particular coach is a ‘good fit’ for you is important. Most people get that sense within the first conversation or two. But before that, evaluating credentials, reading reviews and success stories and even talking with current or past clients can be helpful. Considering a prospective coach’s credentials is an important, but often glossed-over element; many people working in the wellness industry call themselves coaches, but are actually product representatives with little-to-no formal training or real credentials.

PAYMENTS

Q: Can I use insurance to cover any of my program cost?

A: While most insurance plans won’t cover the cost of this program, many clients have used their healthcare savings account (HSA) funds.

Q: Are there any scholarships or reduced pricing options available?

A: We don’t want cost to be a barrier to anyone truly wanting to make improvements to their health, so we do make a limited number of need-based scholarships available. Inquiries can be sent to JustGayle@gmail.com. We also prioritize giving back to our commUNITY throughout the year.
