More Holiday Party Joy;Fewer excess Pounds

As we’re officially full-force in the holiday season, I want to share seven practical holiday tips to help you have more holiday joy and be less likely to find yourself overeating and packing on unwanted holiday pounds.

As one WhyPowered coaching client friend reflected, ‘these are great tips that are kind of obvious, but are oh so helpful to be reminded of to put into practice!’. Knowing and doing doesn’t just happen; Coaching helps close that gap!

You can hear me go into a bit more depth with these tips on this short video here.

  1. Plan ahead and set intentions

Just showing up rarely turns out well.

  2. Arrive without a hungry belly

Taking the edge off your hunger can help you make healthier choices.

  3. Pace yourself

Especially when it comes to alcohol.

  4. Think beyond your tastebuds

Are you still acting like a kid at the kid’s table when it comes to eating your veggies and desserts?

  5. Make it count

If you’re going to indulge in a high calorie item, be sure it’s worth it (i.e it’s humm worthy!)

  6. Focus on the social experience

It’s what being together for the holidays is really all about.

  7. Use the 3-bite way

You can take this powerful tool for moderation anywhere you go! (More explanation in the video.)

One great way to get ahead of your holiday stress is to get out of your head and into your body. This full body stretching video I created can help you do that.
